A trained electrical engineer, TS, founded his own IT company early in his career, which he merged in 2008 with green.ch, which he had acquired together with an investment partner. As Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Green Group, he strategically realigned the company and successfully built up the cloud and data centre business. Franz Grüter is on the Executive Committee of Digital Switzerland, sits on the Board Committee of the Swiss Employers' Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of Luzerner Kantonalbank. He is also Vice-President of the National Test Institute for Cybersecurity.
